In dairy cattle , the best growth ( 900gr/a day ) until the first heats make first heats earlier ( from 6 months sometimes ) But i don't know if it's the same in dairy buffaloes
What is traditionally done in cattle is according to physiological weight and age; there are animals that are more precocious and therefore one or two heats must be passed in order not to overload the animal. At this point the nutritional needs of each physiological phase plays a very important role.
By the way, if you have tables available for the nutritional requirements of the buffalo, I would appreciate it if you can share them with me.
Thank you for your interest and the attached paper.
I feel difficulty in understanding the conclusion of the paper, as authors decreased total fat content in treatment group while simultaneously supplementing oils @ 3.5%. Positive impact of PUFAs in reproduction is a well known fact. Indeed, is it economically feasible to prepone puberty if this much of fat (~6% in concentrates) is included in the control concentrate as well through natural sources by ingredient reformulation and that may inturn expected to have limited adverse effects in rumen metabolism? This is only my opinion, however!
