On the controversy If load is increased cylinder liner temperature increases which reduces the HC & CO emissions. whether both are correct or not. kindly suggest. whether units of measurement matters.

Your logic is correct, increase in load increases fuel, but still the Air-Fuel ratio is kept very lean to increase temperature and not to produce HC and CO.
the increase or decrease of CO and HC do not depend on load only but on fuel- air equivalence ratio also.
For a given engine speed, F/A equivalence ratio increases with load in a diesel engine. CO and HC typically increase with load although other factors (generation of in-cylinder turbulence, injection timing calibration and/or number of injection events, exhaust temperature, use of catalytic exhaust aftertreatment, etc.) may very well be dominant instead depending on a particular engine. In any case, unless poorly designed or undergoing a mechanical failur, CO and HC emissions from diesel engines are very low and, in some cases, engine-out diesel CO and HC approach those of early catalyst-equipped SI-petrol engines.
