we are working on the simulation of Supercritical CO2 fluid in a heat exchanger application. Whether the user-defined function to be used or REFPROP call function in Fluent is sufficient. The conditions of both the hot and cold fluids are supercritical fluid at the entry of the heat exchanger.

What matters is how far from ideal behavior the CO2 is in your proposed application. The compressibility, Z, and fugacity coefficient, phi, are both indicators of the departure from ideality. Z for density and phi=f/p for entropy and ultimately enthalpy, as T=dh/ds)p=constant. Besides being readily available, one reason people are investigating CO2 is that the molecule has high-stress bonds (like water and ammonia), which make for interesting behavior that we may take advantage of. Argon is boring and doesn't do much beyond fluorescent lights.
