Impact factor is widely considered as the determining factor for journal quality and standard. But recently Scopus has introduced cite score to measure journal impact and quality. Cite score of a journal can be tracked realtime while impact factor is updated every year. Which one ( impact factor or cite score) in your opinion is more reliable and better indicator for journal quality and standard?
Potshangbam Nongdam , thank you for this question, I raised a similar one previously, unfortunately Cite Score doesn't guarantee that my work will specifically get cited well, as it is eventually a measure based on all published work in a particular journal, also it can change, although not to a great extent, from a year to another, therefore I would choose impact factor for sure.

Still most of the academic institutes do not consider cite score. Whereas, impact factor is almost the only measure of quality by all institutes.
