Annual report is not only sufficient for a research work. There is need to study the literature of governance, good governance and corporate governance.

Firstly, you have to review of literature on Corporate Governance.

Since your objective is to examine the impact of the pandemic on corporate governance, rather than using content analysis, it would be better to make a valid conclusion by collecting data by interviewing the corporate governance body. The information included in the annual reports will not make the correct sense.

For investigating the pandemic effects, you need to control the time period of COVID to the total time period and analyze what differences are there between the COVID sample and regular sample.
