I have prepared a nanomaterial in a new method. I took XRD and got peaks at exact positions as per JCPDS card. Three peaks have intensities proportionate to that in JCPDS card.
Two other peaks have intensity very high. Whereas, as per JCPDS card, they should be of very less intensity.
What would be reason for it?
I'm confused whether the material is properly formed or not.
Could someone help me in this regard.

The JCPDS data was made using powders. If we prepare nano materials and thin film of same materials, the intensity will vary but position of the peaks won't change. The high intensity of the peak denotes your nanomaterials growth in that particular direction or plane is high. So, if your getting peak at same 2theta value as JCPDS then you can conform your material irrespective of peak intensity.
