I am doing a multiple linear regression analysis for mediation. The bivariate effect of X on Y turned out to be insignificant. The effect of X on M, and the effect of M on Y are both significant. The Sobel test showed significance for the indirect effect between X and Y via M. However, in all models there is no significant correlation between X and Y. Could that indicate a full mediation or do I have to reject the whole model?
