The questions in the researhgate usually are based on a problem that a researcher confronted and sometime a researcher might be confused because of many different results in several references.
The answers in reseachgate usually provided by the professional scientist with many published papers, books, Etc.
Therefore, if it is possible to use the answers in a research project?
In cases where answers are cited with source, there is no problem. But in case of answers and discussions emerging spontaneously could be cited with the name of RG participant and question, just like citation of chapter in a book.

Yes can be cited even by giving the link but will such references be available to those who are not RG members and do not have login facility in RG?

You are right. The answers can be referenced with the link easily but this type of references will be acceptable? The journals name, rank and IF can be use for approve, how the Q&A in RG can be referenced in a way that also become acceptable.
Using the direct answer of a scientist, might be even better than using the papers that published by the same person because in some case the reader might understand the authors points incorrectly. But, for example, dunning the discussions and when two researchers present different solutions for the same problem, usually they ask for the reference or where and when they published the method.

Even if acceptable, probably not of that much value. The question and answers are sometimes deleted by the RG members themselves after posting and occasionally removed by RG too.

It means that, I can use your first published paper in 1984 easily as a reference, but not your current answer to a specific question after many new research and your experiences during the past 30 years.

Yes present rules say a paper once uploaded online cannot be changed (except errata). But in RG answers are frequently modified or even deleted sometimes. So what we will cite today with a link might not be the same tomorrow. This problem is faced when we cite something from database too. That is why we write 'accessed on..........'.
I think that the answers purely don’t have enough potency of validity to be in a research project in researchgate.

Do you think if the Researchgate do a backup for all Q&A the problem will be solved? Because you are the scientist that are answering the questions. Even the IF in journals is base on citation by other scientists so why the answers by a full professor with more than 1000 citations can not be used as a good reference.
