I have synthesised CuInS2 nanoparticle. But every precursors that I have used here is in chloride form. i.e, copper chloride, indium chloride and sulphur source is thiourea. If I want to dope silver to it, whether silver nitrate precurosr is ok? Is this disperse/dissolve in water?

Thank you sirBut I have used hydrothermal method to synthesis this nanoparticle. In this 3-MPA I have used as capping agent. So, whether I need to add the stabilizing agents which you mentioned again?
The major problem I facing is the CuInS2 is dispersing in water, but this silver doped CuInS2 is not dispersing in water. Thats why I thought that the silver precursor that I am using is in nitrate form. So thats why it is not dispersing.
Thank you sir, but in my method I usually add Ag with other precursors itself. I think then also it will go and replace the lattice points of copper vaccancy.
