If a water drop of 1 mm size hits a dry flat plate at 1 m/s, how much energy used for surface creation and how much will be viscos dissipation ?

Initially the drop has kinetic energy and surface energy. This combination has to be converted to excess new surface energy as the drop is stretched while hitting the plate and some energy will be wasted as viscos dissipation.
