For example, N-(4-ethynylphenyl)acrylamide, can I carry out polymerization@specific condition on the double bond only, but keep the triple bond intact?
I have no experience with this compound but the triple bond on the end looks like it should be very reactive/unstable to me. I expect it will be very hard to prevent it from reacting.
The alkyne will probably be a problem because they are so reactive you may need to find a reversible reaction to preserve the triple bond perhaps add chlorine of fluorine across and it remove the chlorine/fluorine after you polymerize the other end of molecule
