If a journal is continuously increasing the number of articles it publishes in each issue or each year, does this indicate that it might be moving toward becoming a predatory journal? Please explain what this means and what the risks are.
Thanks to the following question here on RG https://www.researchgate.net/post/Journal_q1_in_scopus I figured out which journal you refer to "International Journal of Innovative Research and Scientific Studies” indeed looking at the Scopus content coverage https://www.scopus.com/sourceid/21101057630#tabs=2 the suspicious increase in accepted and published papers in 2025 it is almost certain that this journal will be discontinued in Scopus pretty soon, see also https://scholarlycritic.com/does-scopus-intentionally-allow-journals-to-scam-authors-evidences-suggest.html
See my reply in the given link for arguments why but in general I would say, yes, this is a ‘textbook’ feature of a journal that turns into a predatory journal or so-called "pod journal" (and the obvious ‘cashing’ of their Scopus indexing).
