if the fault is a pure strike-slip it is almost impossible to identify it on a 2D seismic line crossing the fault as the seismic horizons are at the same time (or depth) on the 2 sides of the faults. This is specially true if the geolocial structure is elongated in the direction orthogonal to the line. The only possibility is that the fault has some dip-slip component associated, so that you can see the displacement of some horizons on the seismic line. Different story if you have a 3D seismic cube.

Mark's answer is correct as far as the symbols are concerned, but another point to make is the apparent angle (of the strike-slip fault in the cross-section). If you know the strike and dip of the fault, construct a great circle on a stereonet to represent this. Add the plane of cross-section (I imagine it is vertical) as a great circle. Counting down the fault great circle from the perimeter of the net to the intersection of the fault great circle will give you the rake of the fault in the cross-section.

In a 2 D cross section, it is unlikely that both walls of the strike slip fault will be represented in a profile line. Either wall will be represented. Dislocated beds will appear on the same elevation.

The only way  is to extend the A-B section line in 3D and mark the movement of blocks with "+"  and "-" sign.

Since you are observing the strike-slip fault in a geological map, first determine the sense of movement and then check out if it is either transpressive or transtensive. Before drawing it on the cross section. Because you have to represent both the upthrown and downthrown blocks, and which is either positive or negative, and mark their correspondent symbol for sense of mevement, away or towards the viewer.

@Jose Antonio the movement direction is lateral. It is not a dip-slip fault in which we can determine relative displacement of hanging and footwall.

First of all, all the above answers are correct.

a. You have to determine the sense of the relative movement

b. You have to determine the existence and then the amount of the possible vertical component (dip angle)

c. You have to consider the possibility, that the stratum may vary in thickness from one location to another, through your cross section or else through the stratum

d. You have to consider the possibility of minor or major folding due to a possible transpressional or a transtentional regime. Also take into account the minor accompanying faults (reverse and normal respectively)

Regarding these basics, you can perform cross section in terms of reliable geological setting and visual ascription.
