I have an undergraduate student who is sorting through some fossil lizard jaw bones, but identification to species (or even genus) is challenging. Does anyone know of a good resource (publication or person) that they could suggest that might help in this regard? Thanks.
Where is the fossil from? And how old? I have some stuffs regarding Teioidea maybe can be usefull.

Thanks all. I can inquire answers to your questions, but I must admit that I am pretty unfamiliar with any aspects of this project. The questions come from an undergraduate student in one of my classes and she is volunteering as an intern at the La Brea Tar Pits in Los Angeles, CA, USA. She came in and told me she has some fossils and she's trying to practice identifying them (she has an interest in paleontology for grad school, particularly of herps) but she doesn't even know where to start. I suggested I pose the question on researchgate! I will ask for details and post more. Thanks for the help!
