I think this Lauraceae plant is Persea odoratissima (= Machilus odoratissimus). It is found in North Indian hilly states of Jammu & Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand at an altitude of 1,500-2,100 meters.
Dr. Arvind is correct, your plant images best matches with Persea odoratissima (Nees) Kosterm. (= Machilus odoratissimus Nees, = Laurus indica Lour., non L. et Thunb.). Few years ago I seen Persea odoratissima tree in Almora, Uttarakhand in flowering, usually it is found above 1400 m. If you can find good quality images of flowers, then we can identify with surety, without any confusion.
Flora of Himachal Pradesh vol-2, page-627 mention only Machilus duthiei, M. gamblei, M. odoratissima (now Persea odoratissima) in the state. M. duthiei and M. gamblei have globose fruits while M. odoratissima is have ellipsoid fruits. This suggests your plant as P. odoratissima.
