I am looking for training to help me better be able to examine digital images of sectioned and stained tissues of APC min mice intestinal tissues and identify adenomas and microadenomas
Below are some links to publications with images, descriptions, and/or references that you may find helpful. Some of these publications have the photomicrograghs of neoplasms and pre-neoplastic lesions at the very end, after the references section.
Also, you can always reach out to a pathologist/researcher with extensive mouse pathology experience to help you understand the differences in what characteristics pathologists are specifically looking for when they classify neoplastic lesions. My colleague, Cindy Besch-Williford, DVM, PhD, DACLAM (https://www.researchgate.net/profile/Cynthia_Besch-Williford) is very experienced in rodent neoplasia and among the most helpful; she is my go-to person with tumor questions.
the ability to evaluate histopathological images is not something you will pick up on the hoof. I would recommend to ask a local pathologist for help on a collaborative basis.
I'm sure you'll find someone ath the Department of Laboratory Medicine and Pathology
