I assume that you are referring to the filtration of the liquid sample after digestion. This is a coarse filtration made with a filter paper. It´s important to use ashless paper for this filtration, so that the filter doesn´t release minerals to your sample digest. Other than that, as far as I am aware of, you woudn´t need to consider mineral losses through the filtration process in the analysis of your ICP results.
