Go for Paraffin sectioning. Prefer 4% Paraformaldehyde as a fixative instead of 10% formalin. To avoid auto fluorescence Antigen retrieval must be done.

You could embedded the biological specimen in glycol methacrylate and perform the desirable histochemistry protocols.
