I have already sent you three papers on mating studies of Cr.neoformans on Pal sunflower seed medium.You can follow the same procedure to conduct in vitro sexual compatibility test of pure strains of Cr.neoformans on our medium.You can confirm the purity of Cr.neoformans by culturing on Pal sunflower seed medium.This pathogenic yeast imparts light to dark colored colonies on Pal medium (45 g of pulverized seed of sunflower,20 g agar,100 mg chloramphenicol and 1000 ml distilled water,pH 5.6 to 5.8,and autoclave at 110 degree centigrade for 20 minutes). I have given every detail in my papers, which are with you.

We did mating experiment with clinical and environmental isolates from four countries and all our strains were alpha mating types.
