when we click on the results (mode shapes) and we save the file, we find the numbers of the nodes and the displacements, I want to know the coordinates (x, y, z) of the nodes.I use AnsysWorkbench
The coordinates can be found by right clicking on the solution and inserting the user defined results. Then in the expression type LOC_DEFX for the X coordinates and LOC_DEFY for the Y coordinates and LOC_DEFZ for the Z coordinates of the deformed nodes. Then by right clicking the user defined results the coordinates can be exported to excel files. Please check the attachement.
We can probe the node value by highlighting mesh Elements with contour option and then consider the aforementioned option for extracting the coordinates in x, y, z direction
You can use a probe to find the coordinates of the node elements, or you can add user-defined results parameters in the form of expression.
To me the easiest way is with the dt.dat file. You may find the file with right click on the solution, and then “Open Solver Files Directory”.
