Hi every one. I need geostationary data in a particular period. Is it possible to access to this data? Can anyone introduce any websites to access to them?
It would be easier to help you if you indicated the region and the period of interest: Since geostationary satellites always observe the same side of the Earth, GOES (as correctly suggested by Alejandra) will be useful over the Americas, but useless over Tehran... Anyway, you'll find lots of information on the Meteosat system of geostationary satellites on the EUMETSAT web site:
http://www.eumetsat.int/website/home/index.html
Remember that their main satellites are always located at 0 deg longitude (to observe Europe and Africa), but EUMETSAT also operates an older satellite (Meteosat-7) over the Indian Ocean, which may be better located if you want to get data over your country.
For data in South-East Asia, you should look for the Indian, Chinese and Japanese Space Agencies.
Yes I have seen this web site. But data in it was only for one week ago. You know I need data for 2003. Actually I am studying on an earthquake which happened in December 2003 in (Iran_Kerman_Bam) And I need Geostationary data in this period.
Because Temporal resolution is important for me. And Geostationary satellites can provide continuous sensing while normal orbiting satellites can only provide data each time they pass over an area.
