Hi every one. I need geostationary data in a particular period (December 2003, Iran_Tehran) . Is it possible to access to this data? Can anyone introduce any websites to access to them? Thank you for your help.
Yes I have seen this web site. But data in it was only for one week ago. You know I need data for 2003. Actually I am studying on an earthquake which happened in December 2003 in (Iran_Kerman_Bam) And I need Geostationary data in this period.
Because Temporal resolution is important for me. And Geostationary satellites can provide continuous sensing while normal orbiting satellites can only provide data each time they pass over an area.
eumetsat.int is a good site for such searches; I checked the data availability for this period from their "Earth observation portal" (available for downloading for registered users, for example for me...). Data are from Meteosat 5, sub-satellite longitude is 63 degrees (look at the scan). Temporal resolution is 30 minutes.
But I am afraid, that thespatial resolution of MVIRI sensor ( http://www.wmo-sat.info/oscar/satellites/view/299 ) is too coarse (2.5 km for visible and 5 km for IR in nadir). Also cloudiness limits observation possibility.
