I performed XRD analysis of my chitosan sample, I would like to ask for help to interpret its diffractogram. If its possible could someone share with me chitosan
I could send you the requested card the next week, but if you search in the literature you can however see that your pattern match those reported for chitosan, so your phase is right
I would like to ask a follow up question. I have checked the JCPDS card of chitin, but I cannot seem to find the identity of the peak at 11 degrees. I've seen Chitosan xrd peaks from 9-10 degrees from literature. What could be the Miller index for the peak at 11 degrees? This is for the same chitosan diffractogram I've shown above. Your feedback will highly be appreciated.
I searched the card you suggested. In fact there are differences with respect to your pattern . Do you use the copper wavelenght? I can try to search other files, if present in the database
I cannot find other files of chitosan in my old database. I'm sorry. However your pattern is similar to others present in the literature on the same material.
Good day Dr. Gerhard Martens. Thank you for your response. From your reference, hkl value of 020 correspond to 2θ of 9.3°. However, i got a peak at approximately 11°. Does the hkl value of 020 also correspond to 2θ of 11°? Thank you in advance
