Both amphotropic and ecotropic packaging cells are capable of producing viral particles (replication deficient) that can induce murine cells. Thank you, Dong. I intend to use a lentiviral system, so, I believe that works in DO11.10. But, I don't know if DO11.10 is easily infected. Thanks again!
Lentiviral vectors are usually produced in 293T cells, and are pseudotyped with VSV-G that confers them infectivity of a large range of species, including human and murine cells. In that sense the resulting vector are amphotropic, but you don't speak of eco- or amphotropic vectors in this context....
