i tried to do aspen simulation of coal gasification but am not able to do so, i have been trying for past 2 months !! could any one help me by making me a simulation file so that i can understand how does it work !!

To simulate coal gasification, you will need to use Aspen Plus since Aspen HYSYS cannot model solid components (in your case it is the carbon).
If you have Aspen Plus version 10 or the most recent version 11, you will find many simulation examples including the gasification which you can review to understand how the simulation is done. You have the ability to down load the simulation and modify to fit your specific calculations.
