The purpose of leaving the culture media at 4 degree C is only because they should last longer. Overnight incubation of complete RPMI and DMEM at 37 degree C should not cause any problem. Anyways, you incubate the cells in complete media at 37 degree C in the CO2 incubator for 3-4 days before adding fresh media. So why would complete RPMI and DMEM be affected at 37 degree C overnight?
No doubt the media contains heat labile and light sensitive compounds. But these compounds undergo degradation after media preparation within few hours of storage and so they do not exist in the culture media. Moreover, when one is involved in experiments that run long, one may have to keep the culture media for many hours at room temperature.
So, I feel that there is no harm using those culture media (complete RPMI and DMEM).
