I think I am not doing this properly. There must be a smart way. What that could be?
My undergraduation is in Leather Engineering. Later, I took some advance water environment related courses, learned GIS. My current research interest is on environment or water related fields too. Is this sound like I am somewhat amibigous to my goal?
When you send e-mail to a faculty member at a North American University you need to give a description of what your undergraduate degree is about and why you want to study with that professor. You also need to be aware that funding for foreign graduate students in North America is much more difficult so are you going to be self funded until you are able to receive funding? I teach anatomy, embryology, neuroanatomy, radiological anatomy, ultrasonography, and physiology in a healthcare professional school setting and I have had a number of graduate students, who have been funded by our school's programs. None have been foreign graduate students. My graduate students have been Canadian and American.
Sayema Saliha I would suggest you apply for the Ph.D. program as someone else pointed out most professors are not necessarily looking for MSc students but they will gladly take on Ph.D. students. You are also in a Masters program, which most faculty expect you to complete before coming to their research program. It would also help to take the GRE exam to show your competency in Math, English, and Reasoning abilities.
