I am running low on number of samples, so can i use a single pellet for both density measurement by Archimedes and SEM analysis after drying it? SEM will done on the fractures surface of the pellet.
As long as your density measurement did not impose any structural damage (e.g., cracking or compressing), it should be okay to use the tested sample for SEM. If your previous tests involved merging the pellet in any solvents, make sure you thoroughly cleaned the pellet.
You should use SEM first but you can use the SEM measurement and if you have an idea on how the images will be looked like then you can conclude that your previous measurement haven't dammaged your sample.
