I have heat treated mild steel welded joints using E6013 electrode from 600 to 900 degree centigrade at 100 degree temperature difference. Specimens were then cooled in air. What could be the changes in grain size? increased or decreased. Mechanical strength of specimens decreases i.e tensile strength decreases as i tested them.
