I want to test these leaf dry material with both dry as well as liquid method of FTIR. please i need guidence which solvent will be suitable to test it and how much amount of solvent is required to prepae liquid sample for FTIR

The leaves mainly contain cellulose. Therefore, on the FTIR spectrum of a dry powder, its functional groups will be and cover other functional groups if they absorb in this region of the spectrum. As for the liquid sample, you need to extract various molecules with different solvents, water, acetone, ethyl alcohol, and compare the spectra. Different molecules will be extracted with different solvents.
