If your two variables are considered equal in their effects ,you can choose factorial , otherwise you need to go to a split plot with RCBD or CRD as you choose. Cheers.

ANOVA always takes categorical independent variables and continuous responses (dependent variables). However, it is important to also note the underlying assumptions of ANOVA: Normality of distribution of the responses and also uniformity of variances (uniform variability). I hope this help.
