Can we not compare every hull shape and utilize CFD or any other suitable technique to analyze its resistance or any other necessary factors in order to find ways to optimize better performance, efficiency, fuel consumption and emission reduction and maximize cargo capacity?

Yes, this can be done. But this kind of woork would be very stereotype and already done by many researchers.

Do you have any midship frame structure drawings? Or longitudinal strength calculation or weight distribution? Or any data on corrosion degradation? Generally, very little has been done on strength analyses of inland vessels.

Dear Sir,

Is there no way we can figure out a way to replace steel with FRP for stringers, stiffeners, and other hull strengthening elements from the existing hulls in order to minimize the lightweight? The intention behind this is not to compromise the load capacity, structural integrity or class regulations. This would reduce fuel consumption and greenhouse gas emissions, lower the cost of manufacturing ships and satisfy the recent demand of our nation's shipbuilding industry. I wish it wouldn't be so stereotypical.
