I co-stained the GFAP and D-serine in the frozen slice but could not find the colocalization of these two markers.In fact, the astrocytes are able to produce D-serine, Why? In addition, I detected the colocalization of NeuN and D-serine antibodies.
I cannot figure out why you should "see" colocalization even if D-serine is produced by astrocytes.
In any case be aware that you need a positive control.
Also I wonder where you see the D-serine labeling in NeuN stained cells. In the nucleus perhaps? This is the second concern, some degree of unspecificity for anti D-serine antibodies.
