I am working with betel leaves and extracting oil, in case of moist leaves the recovery of oil is very less. How could I improve the recovery rate?

I am using 2 L Clevenger Apparatus and have started with 200g moist leaf sample directly collected from the vine. The oil very less in quantity and is floating above water in the collecting tube and difficult to separate. Please suggest.
