The truth is there are many e-books that you can deal with to obtain these accounts, including Reverse osmosis, design, a process and application, but such books are sold for money
They are a lot of free design tools like "WAVE", "LewaPlus2", "TorayDS2", "WinFlows 3.3.3", but if you look for some practical recommendation for the design you will find something on the following page: http://wagnerdk.dk/DownLoads.htm
Especially the "Membrane Filtration Handbook" is not up-to-date but very good explained. You can download there also other interesting articles and calculations.
