I have an interest to pursue my further study in the areas of biostatistics (statistics). I appreciate any sort of information related to study options, links, book, etc., thanks for your time.
Andy Field (an extremely popular research methods text book author) has written a research methods textbook guide for R (his SPSS research methods textbook is extremely popular)
For theoretical biostatistics, try Coursera's Biostatistics boot camp 1 & 2 by Dr. Brian Caffo, they quite thorough. Materials related to these courses should also be available from the Johns Hopkins' website.
For R basics, this online document is very clear and helpful : https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/1811289/RBootcamp/INTRO_TO_R_PROGRAMMING_SECTOR_67.html#%281%29
In addition to basic courses in statistics and in R such as the ones previously mentioned, I recommend the QuickR site : http://www.statmethods.net/index.html
You can find a lot of material (such as books) online using Google (with filetype:pdf).
The software carpentry program has great online resources, and they do bootcamps to teach programs like R. Highly recommended. http://software-carpentry.org/index.html
You can find here http://www.r-project.org/doc/bib/R-publications.html a list of 160 books dedicated to R together with a short description of their content.

you could visit website where they have so many online courses which is very structured. if you want a certificate you have to pay otherwise you could use the entire module.
I liked the Cryer and Chan's (2010) text Time Series Analysis: With Applications in R. Yes, the book has many equations and proofs, however it also has good appendices with complete samples of R-scripts. It's excellent for learning time series analysis methods.
Additionally, according to the above comments that mentioned the edX courses (Introduction of statistics), I have written two study notes including all of the lectures and solution manual:
