Dear researchers
I am a freelance researcher and do not work in any institution. The journal to which I send an article asks for a personal address. I just specify the country, but it doesn't accept it. It asks for a detailed personal address. What statement is academically correct?

When you mention your address , all what you need to identify your personality, just wright: an independent researcher or free researcher. Regards.
Its academically correct and the reason is the formality of the research journals. They rejected the paper its wrong but its a dilemma that mostly journals prefer teachers and PHD holders as well.
A retired person uses his home address in his publications instead of the address of the institute where he was earlier affiliated. You can do the same. These days mail ids are more important for communication by others interested in your publication
