I know this diagram which is often used and cited but to be honest, as an economic and environmental geologist, I have not yet found any results which would have catered for one of the two geo-disciplines of mine and where an attempt has been made to interlock it with one of its neighboring disciplines geology and mineralogy that should be used prior to it. I can imagine it might be good for a nice paper but what else? Where has it been used with reasonable results obtained for that scope I referred to above. I am open for some hints so as to brush away my skepticism of such narrowminded chemical philosopher´s stones.
