Maybe I'm wrong, but I have the impression that you are confusing ontology with topology. And if there is someone out there spreading "ideas" about ontology of the brain, it must be, if I am correct, because possibly he did not understand well what the foundations of philosophy consist of: namely, ontology (or theory of being) and epistemology (or gnoseology, or theory of knowledge).
