Hi,
Due to a colleague suddenly leaving without updating his files/ labjournal we are currently unable to properly continue with the TaqMan PCR research he was performing as we do not know which primers and probes he mixed together to come to the current version of the mix he was using in his research.
We still have access to the original primer/ probe test mix and know which locus it is targeting but the exact composition is now lost to us but we want to identify the individual components used in this mix.
Identifying the primes will be relatively easy (just sequence PCR product) but how should we go about identifying the probe component in this mix?
Any ideas that will not involve GMO / cloning work (no license for this).
