There is an article in Fish Farmer that briefly mentions some of the research I presented at a conference fall of last year. I would like to highlight the article on my CV, even if I haven't written it. How would you do this? It's not an interview, so Published Interviews as a subheading isn't quite appropriate.
I'd like to add some context: I was told by my advisor that I might consider putting it on my CV. I hadn't thought to do so before. Having gone to workshops and read books on the matter, I had never seen an example other than an Interview/Correspondence Section (for those actively involved with news media). I wanted to ask if anybody else has seen this done, and if so, how. Thanks!

I agree with Dara. Rather than add someone who has cited my work to my vita, I would simple provide a link to my ResearchGate and Google Scholar webpages along with my contact information. Interested parties can rely on these to investigate the impact of my work.
The only justification I can think of would be that you being mentioned in the general press might be a "service to school" because it is public relations. But the other answers are probably better answers, i.e. to not include it in your formal CV.
You can reference this news coverage in other places, such as the "personal statement" my school allows as part of the annual faculty performance reviews.
In my view, "someone referred to my work" sounds a bit desperate to go on a CV, even if it was allowed. But at least in some parts of the world, `Impact' and `Knowledge Transfer / Exchange' are respectable academic categories, so you could consider a heading like that on your CV, as long as Fish Farmer is some kind of popular or trade outlet.
I am in agreement with everyone. I had shown it to my advisor and he had mentioned to put it on my CV. I was curious how one would add this to a CV, if at all. I like the idea of adding it as a link on Research Gate or some social media form. Thank you all for the insight!
David, yes it felt odd to say something at all...but I like the idea of an Impact section. Fish Farmer is popular as a communication outlet between scientists, industry, and farmers, so there is relevancy. We have to write Impact reports for the grants awarded, so this makes the most sense, although I'd still be hesitant to do so.
Absolutely, there should be a section on your CV for impact - this is becoming increasingly important, and your case here would be one good example of demonstrating how what you have done has had impact. What you should really do, is list the conference paper, and then detail the impact below. The section should be something along the lines of 'publications, presentations and impact'. People won't read CVs for long so put the important stuff up-front on the first page. I see CVs from all over the world and they are so variable. Hope that helps!
