How will you do the speciation of Cr+3 and Cr+6?
Please indicate the original system. ( solid, solution, mixture, (
It will depend on the sample, but it can be performed by LC-ICP/MS
Hi everybody, thank you for replies.Infact i wanted to know in liquid samples

Voltammetry
HPLC.
CrVI : colorimetric with diphenylcarbazide ( is very sensitive)I
Then total Cr by flame (reductant) AA.
The difference is CrIII.
Other approach is precipitation of ´CrO4 2- as BaCrO4- Filter and AA in flame( it gives only CrIII.
Chromium 6+ gives spectra at 445 nm wavelength and Chromium 3+ gives spectra at 595 nm after digestion so from this we can specify between the spectra of Cr+3 and Cr+6 using UV- Visible Spectrophotometer
The spectra is useful with pure solutions,.
Cr 3+ can be determined by complexometric titration
