There is no sure way to prevent colorectal cancer. But there are things you can do that might help lower your risk, such as changing the risk factors(Being overweight or obese, Certain types of diets such as beef, pork, lamb, or liver, Smoking and Heavy alcohol use) that you can control.

according to the results of recently published meta-analysis (in 2017) Vit-D can play a protective role in colorectal cancer risk. The results was in line with another meta-analysis in 2009 by Huncharek (https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/19116875).
Protective factors that have been associated with a decrease in the incidence of colorectal cancer include regular physical activity, diet rich in fruits and vegetables, high fiber diet, folate rich diet, calcium, dairy products, vitamin D, vitamin B6, magnesium intake, fish consumption, garlic, regular use of Aspirin and Non-Steroidal Anti-Inflammatory Drugs (NSAIDS).
