Did Vitamin D has any effect on reducing the growth of tumors in colon.
If yes, Is any proved scientific researches to verify the this effect.
Any other measures for avoiding the risk of colorectoral cancer.
The two proven issues that decrease risk of colorectal cancer are
1) colonoscopy performed every five years in people above 45 years old.
2) Aspirin and other anti-inflammatory drugs like COX2 inhibitors on a chronic base.
High fiber intake and low consumption of meat suppossedly decrease risk. There is no breath taking evidence in this sense.
There is no sure way to prevent colorectal cancer. But there are things you can do that might help lower your risk, such as changing the risk factors(Being overweight or obese, Certain types of diets such as beef, pork, lamb, or liver, Smoking and Heavy alcohol use) that you can control.
A number of measures are considered useful in prevention and early detection which improve survival. These are
Diet Vitaminss and fibres
Exercise
Screening

I have heard wheat-grass or barely-grass juice also helps to prevent.

Protective factors that have been associated with a decrease in the incidence of colorectal cancer include regular physical activity, diet rich in fruits and vegetables, high fiber diet, folate rich diet, calcium, dairy products, vitamin D, vitamin B6, magnesium intake, fish consumption, garlic, regular use of Aspirin and Non-Steroidal Anti-Inflammatory Drugs (NSAIDS).
