Any newer methods which reduces the water absorption property of bio-fibres? Whether it will succeeds in the hydrophilic nature of the fibres
One of my aim is to find a proper solution, as we know that hydrophilic nature of bio-composites is a biggest issue in the development and utilization of the composites when coming into the part of application and another challenge when it comes with increasing the strength of the fibre and surface preparation for the effective bonding with the resin through chemical treatments.
Chemical treatments such as Alkalization, acetalization etc are older methods which will reduce the water absorption nature to a particular extent. I found this methods are not that much good during my experimentation.
Looking for favorable answers. Relevant to the topic.
Please comment only if you have experience on this field.
I'm also further looking for my doctoral studies in bio-composites. If anyone working this area i would like to join with you
Thanking you
