Using UV Vis, we can measure easily masure thickness but how? It has some formula which is quite complex for non-mathematician and I hope there will be some researchers how to do it.
You can use M-line spectroscopy (depending on the substrate). It is a waveguide method which determines the injection angles for optical wave propagation in your film. You need to determine at least 2 angles since the later depends on the thickness and the index of refraction.
much easier: film thickness determination by evaluating white-light interference patttern, measured in reflectance. Google it, one simple formula is enough for calculation

No, this formula depends on refractive index to calculate film thickness or vice versa...
