There shouldn't be any problem, but you will have a low yeild. A silica column would be a little more expensive but would give you better recovery and you would be able to store the extract. I would also give you a cleaner sample.

Go for salting out, quick, cheap, can be stored for long time, remove contamination. We have used this for 20 species of termites with around 100 specimens. Since you are in Bengal, you can come to my lab and I will let you know the improved method for salting out, can contact me on [email protected]
