I've been involved in some research previously looking at social media, but I am interested in people's thoughts on how useful they've found it or believe it too be in impacting offline behaviour such as voting behaviour, purchasing behaviour etc.
As far as I know companies are reluctant to use only social media for predicting consumer behavior. I could imagine that some people create a non-realistic online profile to be more attractive or similar.
Immediate Future did the survey, only seven per cent of respondents rated their ability to measure their social media activity as ‘very strong’, with just over a third describing it as ‘strong’. Happily, 67 per cent were confident that their ability to measure social will improve in the next two years. I think this survey is reliable.
