I am also doing research about teachers profesional development, with spec interest in how teachers are changing their instruction as a result of students' action. Sometimes in our video recodring we can see students' emotions.
How do you see the teachers' emotions in your data?
I would find it extreamly hard to collect that kind of data.
But, isn't that hard to to write about your emtions after they happened? I just wonder if it's possibile to tell if their reply is a reconstruction of what they thought in that moment when it all happened, e.g., how do you differ between anger and sorrow as one could be the first and the other you be the second emotion under the "hood" so to speak.

We use Noldus Face Reader v8 (https://www.noldus.com/facereader). In addition, I have a couple of grad students who have been working on a coding structure for body language to correlate with the FaceReader analysis. Their work will be reported at a couple of conferences later this year, when we get back to normal.
Almost all of our work in the EILab (https://eilab.ca) is based on fully online learning communities ( https://www.researchgate.net/project/Transforming-Online-Learning-The-Fully-Online-Learning-Community-FOLC-Model ). We even have a technique for analysing recordings of focus groups within the online learning environment.
It sounds very interesting. I’ll study your references. Do you have any references (paper, articles) about your work that you would recommend?
