I have send my research article in many Scopus index journals but most of them rejected by citing reason that article missing innovation and add value to research knowledge base.
I had some experience, if there was novelty the editor or reviewer take only one week to rejected it. they will said its only preliminary. mostly the paper qualified on best paper had a lot references, and good novelty. perhaps you can taking keyword in their website. typically depend on the request also. dont forget to citation their article.
1. Select the right type of journal where your research report best fits in.
2. See some of the published work in that journal and compare your work (the data collected) accordingly and then sent out the manuscript to the editor- in- chief of that journal.
Of course it is need less to say that the journal must be listed in SCOPUS.Note that SCOPUS is a service to certain publishers from Elseviers only.
EACH journal title has its own requirements. See the website of the journal and download the AUTHOR information. the package should provide information regarding the requirements, i.e. format, citation, length, frequency of publication, review process, etc.
You have to do good research; then choose suitable journal for your subject; see the requirements for this journal; reed some articles from previous prints; wright your article according requirements, and I think it will be accepted.
You should identify the gaps in literature and how your contribution fill-up the gap or add new knowledge in the debate. In simple, what new information your article providing in terms of theory, policy or intervention.
