Hi !

I'd like to implement numerically Smoluchowski aggregation equation (the population balance equation) for the aggregation-fragmentation for diffusing particles, but for a not so high number of particles compared to the values of the aggregation kernel, so that at some point I'm getting aggregates with a number of particles higher than the number of particles. The number of such aggregates is obviously smaller than 1 so that I don't have any problem with the conservation of particles.

In one word, what is the best way to constrain that the maximal size of the aggregate is the total number of particles ?

Would you have some advice how to tackle this issue please ? Or some articles talking about it ?

Thank you in advance
